You can become certified to work in a laboratory, hospital, or plasma center with our part-time, 9-week phlebotomy course.

What does a phlebotomist do?
The responsibilities of a phlebotomist technicians include:
- Drawing blood
- Collecting specimens
- Preparing and processing specimens for laboratory testing and analysis
- Assembling and maintaining medical instruments such as needles, test tubes, blood vials and centrifuges.
What will I learn?
In the Phlebotomy Technician program, you will learn:
- How to draw blood
put patients at ease during the blood drawing procedures - Process specimens for testing
how to verify a patient’s identity to ensure proper specimen labeling - Correctly label drawn blood for testing/processing

9-week class room and hands on training that meets 1 day a week on Tuesdays. Tuesday Morning and Evening courses available
